I am delighted to bring you a world-class learning experience, delivered by Sustainability experts from the Institute for Sustainability and industry. Participants attending the 2 day programme will receive a prestigious UNITAR executive certificate of completion and become members of the CIFAL Surrey Alumni.

Our learning sessions have been carefuly designed to include practical case studies and encourage deep stakeholder engagement. You will get to write your own leadership and action plan.

More than a training programme, with reflection circles, wellbeing walks and evening panel sessions, you will have opportunities to intereact and share best practice with other leaders.

Day one - Understanding current trends and why they matter

10.00am Module 1: The world in 2025, understanding local and global challenges and trends for business.

11.15am Refreshment break

11.30am Module 2: Navigating evolving sustainability disclosure requirements for business.

12.45pm Networking lunch

1.45pm Module 3: Managing stakeholders for impact (mapping, salience, and prioritisation).

3.00pm Peer reflection session, with refreshments

4.30pm Industry Panel discussion, which is scheduled to finish at 6pm.

10.45am Module 5: Doing business in an ecologically real world - the benefits of ecocentric and regenerative business.

What you will learn

Day one

You will be introduced to the fundamentals of leadership for sustainability while also challenging and reshaping deeply held assumptions about the socio-ecological transition.

Understand how the challenges relate to your organisation

Understand the role leaders can play to transition to sustainable practices

Develop strategic plans for sustainability, climate action, business resilience

Explore key frameworks on corporate social responsibility (CSR), environmental, social and governance (ESG)

Practice how to (step by step) embed sustainability across business strategy, from holistic circular economy approaches to performance management

Day two

You will discover useful tools to develop an intentional response, focusing on managing stakeholders for impact, navigating an evolving regulatory framework, and track-based learning.

Participants who complete all modules will receive a prestigious UNITAR CIFAL Surrey Certificate of Completion.

Craft an action plan for the short-medium term

Which Training would suit me best?

CIFAL Surrey offers 2 Day Training Programmes (overviews) and 1 Day Masterclass (in deph), dedicated for Business and for Goverment Leaders. Here is a description detailing the offering.

How to I book and pay?

CIFAL Surrey used a simple online form for registrations and offers within two options for payment, 1. By card via our University online store or 2. By invoice emailed to your organisation. Please indicate your preference and the team will send you the link for payment. If you have any queries or require assistance to book, please contact CIFAL@surrey.ac.uk

What is the price?

CIFAL Surrey's 2 Day Training Programme is priced at £2,750. Group discounts are availble for organisations booking multiple delegates.

Where is the training held?

Training takes place at the University of Surrey, Stag Hill Campus. A map is available here.

Registration can be made via our online form. The booking will only be confirmed on receipt of the full payment.

Cancellations must be notified in writing ten working days before the event. A cancellation fee of 50% is charged for cancellations received within 10 working days before the training; Beyond this date, we charge full rate and do not give refunds. If no written notice of cancellation is received, no refund can be made. The University of Surrey reserves the right to cancel any event. In this case, the full fee will be refunded unless a mutually convenient transfer can be arranged. Delegates with Special Needs: The University aims to offer fully accessible events to all of its delegates. Please help us to accommodate any individual needs that you may have by indicating your requirements on the registration form. We will contact you to discuss this as necessary.
