We rarely think of art as a key component of sustainable living. Yet, research has increasingly been showing that art can play multiple roles in bringing about and supporting better lives within the limits of the Earth's resources.
We may consider art as an artwork - an ‘aesthetic’ object. However, the ‘aesthetic process’ is something we're all engaged in, all of the time, through perception and practice.
Our programme speaks of art in a broad sense to refer to a range of creative practices and outputs, from theatre, literature, painting, music and film to digital media, fashion, and advertisements.
