"The Institute is continually developing its network of partners from academia, government and industry, across the UK and globally. I manage a diverse portfolio of existing and emerging collaborations, which, together, form a rich ecosystem of collaborators including individuals, small and large organisations as well as organisations from the third sector and government. The network includes not-for-profit organisations as well purpose-driven ones, such as B Corps and social enterprises. From this network, we can draw multi-sectoral insight and capture multiple perceptive like never before.
My approach is to form clusters and consortiums of organisations around common invested interests and challenges. The close relationships held by the Institute with the Surrey Research Park and Surrey Chambers of Commerce have been fundamental in establishing this. I also help the Institute to engage with the next generation through Student Enterprise, and working closely with schools and charities in the education sector, such as the Wonderseekers project. In addition, my work drives co-design of partnerships with grass root organisations and citizen representatives such as Zero Carbon Guildford and Surrey Climate Commission.
All of this would not be possible without the Institute's funders, volunteers and philanthropic partners. I wish to thank them all for their continued support and investments in making the Institute ecosystem a driving force for collaborative research and sustainability action, at scale."
