Why Together for Surrey is unique

Collaborative effort

This project is a collaboration between Surrey County Council and the Sustainability Innovation Hub at the University of Surrey’s Institute for Sustainability. The content and structure of the site have been shaped with input from behavioural change experts at the University, ensuring a strong, research-backed foundation.

A key focus of the website is to highlight the pivotal role of Surrey residents, communities, and businesses play in driving sustainable change. By showcasing real-life examples and practical actions that can be taken or replicated, we aim to inspire peer-to-peer influence and empower local action for a more sustainable future.

The website has been delivered as part of the Civic Agreement for Surrey – a shared commitment between Surrey County Council and local universities which have a joint aim to grow a fairer economy, reduce health inequalities, support sustainable living and build stronger communities.

Community partners are also invited to play a key role in generating exciting content. This will ensure the platform stays up to date with the latest news, events, and opportunities across the county.
